Your First Visit to Our Austin Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

Make Yourself at Home

You'll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. You'll be greeted by name when you enter our office and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities.

Please bring along anything in your health record that we need to know about. For example, a list of medications and/or supplements you are taking, any lab-work, and imaging reports. These will help us have a clearer picture of your current health status. The first visit should last about 45 minutes to an hour. During this time, you will be asked to complete our specialized entry forms and discuss your condition during an initial consult. Then, a chiropractic performance exam/evaluation and a chiropractic adjustment will be done. If imaging or testing is needed, the doctor will refer you to the nearest imaging center.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Barton Creek Chiropractic patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. Tim Asks some important questions of interest to Austin residents - Chiropractor Austin Dr. Tim Asks...

What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Austin chiropractic practice.
